Sales & Marketing: Graphic Design/Creative Services
Seasonal Web & Creative Services Assistant - Wilmington Blue Rocks (Wilmington, DE)

The Wilmington Blue Rocks seek an individual who will be responsible for assisting the Director of Web & Creative Services during the 2018 season. The primary responsibility of this position will be to conceptualize, shoot, edit & produce the Blue Rocks in-house video content. This includes content for the video boards, social media, game highlights & the Blue Rocks’ weekly web show – “The Rocks Report.” Additionally, the Web & Creative Services Assistant will assist in creating graphic content for and maintaining the Blue Rocks’ official web site, assisting with the creation of print and web advertisements, creating and maintaining sound and music playlists and operating all in-stadium sound and music during all 70 Blue Rocks home games in 2018. The candidate will also have the opportunity to create content for and run video boards for non-Blue Rocks games hosted at the stadium.

This entry-level seasonal position will provide hands-on experience in video production, graphic design, web design and in-game entertainment. The candidate will have the ability to shoot, edit and produce team videos and to develop graphic content (for website, social media and game day use). In addition to shooting, editing & producing video projects, he or she will be expected to design flyers, slides, advertisements and a wide variety of graphic design projects. The candidate will also add, edit, maintain and remove web site content through HTML code. An understanding of Adode Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro is required. The assistant will work as part of the Marketing Department by assisting with theme night plans and game entertainment for the season. The assistant will also work with the Media Relations Department on video projects featuring the team & players. Finally, the assistant will complete a group sales initiative with all other seasonal assistants.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Understanding of video editing and production through Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects

• Understanding of graphic design, specifically Adobe Creative Suite programs

• Has a positive, upbeat attitude

• Highly motivated with a desire to be successful

• Strong communication and organization skills

• Detail-oriented; ability to handle several projects at once

In addition to experience in video editing/production and graphic design, the ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge audio production and HTML formatting. The ability to complete projects independently and creativity are extremely important for this position, as well as the ability to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate is also a "creative thinker", who can take initiative and develop their own creative ideas for new or existing projects.

This is an entry-level, seasonal full-time, paid Web & Creative Services Assistant position that runs from February until end of season. The end date will be influenced by a potential playoff appearance. Candidate is expected to work normal business hours Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, plus all Blue Rocks home games in 2018. College juniors and seniors are permitted to apply, but only if college courses do not interfere with required hours of the position. It’s suggested that a reel or portfolio accompany each resume.
